@Variety At least they are and doing something REAL to help. Unlike some other untalented, attention-seeking, vapid, pretty-boy who barely focuses on the refugees he's allegedly trying to "help" in his so-called PSA videos who instead focuses the camera on and makes it all about himself.
@PhilipsPhilipz@Refugees The actor - IS EXPLOITING THE PLIGHT OF THE REFUGEES FOR HIS OWN GAIN. I sincerely doubt UNHCR makes much in donations (except from you Theo apologists) for these PR stunts. These videos are ALL ABOUT HIM - not the refugees.
@PhilipsPhilipz@Refugees Don't know if you can read Pip, but my focus IS and on the refugees. YOU are trying to twist it into something else-which is nonsensical. My point is Theo's is not actually HELPING the refugees, but making these self-promoting PR videos, so he LOOKS like a humanitarian.
@PhilipsPhilipz@Refugees Yes - because if this self-promoting twat was actually doing those things, instead of just walking around and making stupid speeches, WE WOULD SEE IT. He is an actor - PR is his game. If he is actually doing "good will" why not put it the video?
@PhilipsPhilipz@Refugees Use your brain cells - someone who has a camera focused on him while doing a "catwalk" in a bombed-out area of a city where there are refugees who have inadequate shelter, food, etc. - yeah, it's GHOULISH. Got another one for ya - it's EXPLOITATIVE. Just stop, Pip.
@PhilipsPhilipz@Refugees If he were donating, bringing them food, clothes, medicine, helping to build shelters - we would hear about it. These videos would show him as St. Theo - doing just that.
@haircurl_poirot@bobcatconcerto@Refugees Yes, both are important issues, no doubt. But using refugees to highlight climate change? They are a bit at odds - as the immediate problem for refugees IS NOT climate change - it's all they are dealing with as refugees - which is, in and of itself, an immediate threat to life.
@PhilipsPhilipz@Refugees Again - screw you Pip. It ISN'T about me, but you can't see past someone calling out your boy. It's about the refugees HE DOES NOTHING FOR. Except use them as a backdrop in these self-promoting videos. And please don't bore me with your quips about logic.
@PhilipsPhilipz@Refugees My insecurity - You. Are. Funny. This SAME video has popped up before -and similar ones-right around award nomination time. He released a video during the SAG-AFTRA strike - when NOBODY was campaigning for Emmys. So yes - self-promoting. Sorry to hurt your feelings.
@RDLaing99@Refugees DO. SOMETHING. REAL. Bring them food, clothes, medicine. Build a shelter. Help dig a well for water. But oh no - he might break a nail on his manicured hands or his pedicured feet. So typical of you people to think he has triage in Damascus to look real. God-you miss the point.
@PhilipsPhilipz@Refugees I would LOVE to see him doing something REAL to help these people. But all we see is him walking around looking "oh so concerned." I am 1000% sure if he DID do something real - it would be part of his self-promotional video. So the fact we HAVEN'T seen anything . . . .
@PhilipsPhilipz@Refugees Screw you, Pip-I am no "crystal-mommy." I have a problem with celebs using refugees and their plight for their own gains. But then again, I would expect such a low-level response from someone like you that would defend this vapid pretty boy to the death. St. Theo anyone?
@bobcatconcerto@Refugees Yeah, there are. But this guy runs around EXPLOITING refugees for his PR. He does NOTHING REAL for them. That is IMPORTANT to me as someone who has experience in International Law.
@haircurl_poirot@bobcatconcerto@Refugees Yes, but it seems like a 10 yr PR campaign to me. What has he REALLY done to help except make these videos & stupid speeches about climate change? Yes, climate change affect us all-even refugees-but refugees' most immediate problem is that THEY ARE REFUGEES.
