How broken is state government?

In a committee hearing on food stamp fraud, the state admitted people could get benefits WITHOUT BEING ELIGIBLE. Nobody was even checking!

We've been saying that for the past year, and it's why we are so focused on eliminating waste, fraud and abuse. Now we are getting results.
