I have my Disability Pride Flag flying from my house in July.
It's to show non-disabled that I am proud to be disabled. I'm not to my pitied, not to be looked down on and not to be awwed.
No more "I'd rather be dead, than be disabled" which I do hear a lot unbelievably.
There are many disabled people who feel the need to hide or don't feel pride. I cannot and will not force them to change their views, as that is personal and private to them.
However, by flying my flag, I'm showing them it's ok to be disabled. Whether that sensory, emotional, psychiatric, non-visible, undiagnosed, neurodiversity, or physical disabilities. It's ok and I recognise you.

Rishi Sunak is considering letting Thames Water raise their bills 47% to pay the interest on their debts.
That will force over 2 million households to pay for their fake 'profits' or go without Water.
RT if the Conservatives can shove this idea where the sun doesn't shine
Thames Water is set to be temporarily renationalised so we can pay their BILLIONS in debt before being privatised again so we can be ripped off AGAIN.
Like if it should stay nationalised FOREVER.
RT if we should Renationalise ALL the water companies.
I have just learnt that on the day it was privatised Thames Water was debt free. It has now run up £14 billion worth of debt by paying bonuses to its executives.
Why do British people put up with this so often?
This is @McDonaldsUK in Belfast. They had a Disability Pride Flag in their window in July 2022.
I was delighted to see this. I felt recognised, I felt understood, I felt accepted.
McDonald's did not fly this flag to make all their customers disabled. They flew it to show respect for their disabled customers.
Heathrow Terminal 5, and others, fly the LGBTQ+ Pride Flag to respect their customers in June.

The legendary origin of the phrase "chancing your arm" came from Dublin in 1492. The Butlers of Ormonde and the FitzGeralds of Kildare were involved in a violent land feud. The Butlers retreated to the sanctuary of St Patrick's Cathedral, with the FitzGeralds in hot pursuit.
We’re trying to get as many followers as Rishi Sunak so we can show the government just how many people are prepared to fight for the NHS and its staff.
Please can you help us today by following us and retweeting this?
The Government has confirmed they won't reopen talks or improve its pay offer to nurses
If they refuse to negotiate a fair deal then there will be indefinite strike action
The Government is to blame, not NHS workers!! #FairPayforNursing
