🚨 BREAKING: Two Latvian nationals have been arrested inside RAF Molesworth and are now being held under the National Security Act.

• It is a facility under the control of the United States Air Force, and is one of two RAF stations in Cambridgeshire currently used by the United States Air Forces in Europe

• The men, aged 36 and 32 and living in the UK, were found at about 2am on 8 October after Ministry of Defence Police spotted an abandoned vehicle during a patrol. Cambridgeshire Police helped search the site. A small breach in the perimeter fence was found.

• They were first arrested on suspicion of trespass on a prohibited site and criminal damage, then further arrested under section 4 of the National Security Act 2023, which covers entering a prohibited place for a purpose prejudicial to the UK. Both remain in custody.
