ENZO FERNÁNDEZ SAGA: When Emotions Begin To Override Common Sense

This may sound harsh, but this Enzo Fernández situation has exposed the mentality of some people on this app.

I genuinely wonder how some of these people make difficult decisions in their businesses, organisations, or even families when emotions are allowed to override principles.

The argument that Chelsea should give Enzo whatever he wants simply because of his performances is a dangerous precedent. It is similar to saying that as a parent, you should disrupt the balance of your entire family to satisfy one child because that child is currently doing well. Or that as an organisation, you should break your salary structure every time an employee delivers a major result.

This is exactly why serious organisations use performance bonuses, incentives, and commissions. They reward excellence without destroying the structure that keeps the entire system functioning.

Now imagine Enzo demands £300k per week and Chelsea agrees purely because of his performances. What happens if Cole Palmer records 40 goal contributions next season and asks for £350k? What happens if João Pedro scores 25 goals and receives an offer matching that figure elsewhere? Should the club keep breaking its wage structure every time a player excels?

That is not sustainable management.

Would I want Enzo Fernández to leave Chelsea? Absolutely not. He is a special talent, a player who brings qualities that are extremely difficult to replace. But no player, regardless of how important, should become bigger than the institution.

Chelsea must make decisions based on what is best for the club long-term, not based on emotional attachment.

The frustrating part is that some of the loudest voices demanding Chelsea abandon its principles are the same fans who claim to love the club. Much of this reaction appears driven by their dislike of the ownership rather than genuine concern for Chelsea's future.

Regarding Enzo and his representatives, the way this saga has been handled has not been ideal. The constant speculation and links, followed by Real Madrid publicly distancing themselves from the rumours, created unnecessary noise around the player, the club, and the fans.

That said, none of this takes away from Enzo Fernández's quality, achievements, or importance to Chelsea. I want him to remain at the club and continue succeeding.

But supporting a player does not mean abandoning logic. Great clubs are built on standards, discipline, and sustainable decisions.

Enzo remains loved and respected. Supporting him and protecting Chelsea's structure can exist at the same time.
