Jamie Varley, who was convicted of raping and murdering a baby, is reportedly saying there's a bounty on his head in prison.

After being sentenced to life in June, reports say he got the "traditional prisoners' welcome"—cell doors rattling, inmates yelling threats, and a very long first night. He allegedly spent that night sobbing, shaking, and whispering to himself while being kept in segregation for his own protection.

Reports also indicate prison officials believe he's at high risk from other inmates, and he remains under protective conditions.

Couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy.
