1986 ALCS, Game 5: Angels are two outs from the World Series and are winning 5-2 with Mike Witt dealing. In one of the greatest at bats ever & after seeing some tremendous pitches, Don Baylor delivers…
If you told me in 1987 that Jose Canseco, Eric Davis, Mark McGwire, Darryl Strawberry, Don Mattingly, and Dwight Gooden wouldn’t be in the Hall of Fame but the Padres’ shitty catcher I was getting in every other pack was going to make it one day I’d have thought you were insane.

💙💛⚾️ Mrs. Ingoldsby, JJ Wetherholt’s 5th grade teacher, found this gem for his MLB debut today. The students had to write what they wanted to be when they grew up. So proud of him for living out his dream and knocking it out of the park in his very first at-bat! #marsproud

It clicked, and they spent the rest of the period saying "BIG DUMPER."
When my mom asks if I want to join in family dinner tonight, but I have to explain how I have to watch a baseball game between American Italians and American Mexicans to determine if American Americans can keep playing baseball
