@whitstrub@JackLynch000@quillkdc Agreed. My 20-year old self thought Paris 1919 was the best album ever. Not sure my 66-year old self disagrees.Anything of his from the 70s is worth listening to. And Songs for Drella for sure. Partial to Sabotage/Live-was at one of those shows-so maybe that’s nostalgia speaking?
@whitstrub@JackLynch000@quillkdc Also like his recording of Jonathan Richman's Pablo Picasso, but not as good as the Modern Lovers' version Cale produced a few years earlier. But one best cover? I go with Patti Smith's Gloria on Horses-maybe the single best opening album track (also Cale produced-he was busy!)

@DrMaryDraper Wrote this for a grad research seminar largely through the University Spec. Collections. Involves efforts by Rutgers students in the 1960s to restore Paul Robeson’s public memory at his alma mater. Hope it helps. https://t.co/Wv7SNozKXv
