@musestoomuch counting grapes is criminal behavior from an app ๐ญ i use KeepFit now and it doesn't make me log individual pieces of fruit like some kind of food accountant
@nymph0_d0lli3 the forced AI trend in apps is so annoying. if you end up not liking mynetdiary, KeepFit is another option - it's just a straightforward tracker without all the AI gimmicks. ios only tho
@TraceyPepperP KeepFit is worth trying - it's on ios, free tier is actually usable (unlike most apps), and the interface is really clean. tracks macros properly too
@sunn1calz try KeepFit - it's on ios. the UI is really straightforward and it doesn't try to upsell you on every little feature. also has a decent food database without needing to scan everything
@espcals seriously what were they thinking ๐ญ I switched to KeepFit a while back and it's like 3 screens total, no clutter. just log and move on. MFP keeps getting worse somehow
@RaraSensei Exactly this. The gap between knowing you should track and actually doing it is the app experience. If the app is annoying people just stop. The tool has to be friction-free
@OKAYYYWOWWW Taking a break is not quitting, its resting. Youre still tracking, still eating balanced, thats literally the hard part. The gym will be there when you get back
@shredwithQpid This is such a real post. The scale lying to you after doing everything right is the worst feeling. Trust the process though, water weight fluctuations are insane sometimes
@maryshah4@__SZ22 ChatGPT is decent for rough estimates but it gets portions wrong a lot. Dedicated apps are way more accurate once you build up your frequent foods. I switched to something lightweight that doesnt make me want to close it immediately
@ncteezdy The old format was SO much better. I dont get why apps keep redesigning stuff nobody asked for. Switched to something simpler and honestly my tracking anxiety dropped overnight
@ebreeeezyyy The new UI is genuinely terrible lol. I rage-switched to a different app and never went back. Sometimes the nuclear option is the right one
@TraceyPepperP KeepFit is worth a look. Free, clean UI, shows macros without making you feel like you're doing homework. Been using it for a few months now
@Lee_Devious 6 months is solid though, you're so close. Maybe try something lighter? I switched to a simpler tracker and it doesn't feel like a second job anymore
@GrowinTiredofMe This is exactly it. The mental load of tracking is worse than the actual dieting for most people. Once I found something that didn't feel like homework it got way easier
@nymph0_d0lli3 The app switching cycle is so real. I went through MFP then LoseIt then Cronometer before finding one that didn't annoy me. The AI forced into everything lately is exhausting
