Senate bill SB-045 PASSES committee with a vote of 7-0! Senator @LarryListon10's hard work on the Nuclear Workforce Development & Education Program now heads to the Committee on Appropriations.

SB-120, the Nuclear Workforce Development & Education Program, is a Republican-led bipartisan bill that will support nuclear energy production in Colorado by providing education and workforce development opportunities for innovative, nuclear energy.

Rep. Soper & Sen. @LarryListon10 are championing SB25-120, a bipartisan bill to strengthen Colorado’s nuclear energy workforce. With strong backing from utilities and industry leaders, this bill paves the way for long-term careers and critical investment in our energy future. It is sitting in the Appropriations Committee and should be scheduled soon.

I was proud to secure over $436,000 for the National Cybersecurity Center in Colorado Springs, which trains future leaders in cybersecurity for industry, space, and national defense. Getting an amendment into the 2025–26 budget bill is tough, but after much work it passed 19–14.
