@arnegreen Well deserved, Arne. You not only produced stellar stories and quality work over the last 40 years, but your humor and wit in the newsroom were equally invaluable. Thanks for all of that. Gratulerer.
Premiering right now. Maybe the greatest multisport athlete in Kansas State history.

@KSHSAA@CapFed A very good story by @BrentKSHSAA on former Sacred Heart standout Sarah (Weese) Johnson, including comments on her mother, Salina coaching legend Mary Pat Weese. It was always a pleasure to work with every member of that family.
@bhallier@joannachadwick The emotional highs/lows from the 1972 basketball controversy and the 1980 Miracle on Ice are great examples. Can't imagine what social media would be like if the BB fiasco happened now. An underdog comparison for the hockey would be US men's soccer winning a WC. It was stunning
@dusty40@SeSalineSports Thanks for all your hard work today, Dusty. That event is never easy to cover, but you did a great job staying on top of things. And the graphics looked good.
McPherson finds a way to get it done.
Bullpups are Class 4A state champions after a 65-59 overtime victory over Hugoton in a classic battle. Hugoton was the defending state champion and defeated McPherson in the 2023 final.
McPherson timeout, with the ball, leading Hugoton 60-59 with 32 seconds to play. Fatigue and missed fts may be coming a factor. McPherson 2 for 6 at the line in OT, Hugoton 1-6.
McPherson's Cory Muehler is fouled on a 3-point attempt and hits all three free throws to tie the game with 16 seconds to play. Hugoton's shot at the end of regulation bounces off the rim. Going to overtime for the 4A title, 55-all.
