It’s definitely been interesting to watch all these manly men in the man-o-sphere side with the little guy who threw a defenseless woman onto the ground rather than the man who tried to protect her and help her — and who was then shot in the back for it.
In a world of Matt Walshes, be an Alex Pretti.
As the admin grabs people to deport without due process, destroys govt's ability to function and takes health care away from millions, the W. Post shows its focus is on keeping Trump happy by declaring one of its goals is to "communicate with optimism about this country...."
Since Trump apparently believes in deporting people who violated any immigration rule while trying to go through the immigration process so they can stay in the US, will Trump now try to have Musk's citizenship revoked so he can be deported? Just wondering. 2/2
It's been reported that Musk violated his student visa when he came to the US. https://t.co/LKkxISfEqT If so, it's possible that Musk's road to citizenship was potentially permanently corrupted by his alleged failure to comply with the requirements of his visa. 1/2
This is how our government has been corrupted:
1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat
We must get big money out of politics. It’s the root of all evil in Washington.
Since DeSantis's Florida has become the place where freedom, democracy and education go to die, it's time for Florida to rebrand itself. The Sunshine State should be replaced by #TheFacistState, and the nickname "God's waiting room" should become #HellOnEarth.
@CNNSotu@jimsciutto Of course, given how Durham's report ignores facts and is based on smoke and mirrors, Garland would be justified pointing out its deficiencies. But, I doubt he will. He's not a political hack, but it seems fear of being called political makes him reluctant to be the AG we need.
@CNNSotu@jimsciutto Why did AG Garland just send the report to Congress and make it public rather than following Barr's precedent of releasing a statement weeks before falsely saying the report found no wrongdoing and exonerated the FBI. Maybe because Garland isn't a corrupt political hack?
@politico Hey, Licht, name one thing we learned about Trump that we didn't know before you gave him an hour to spew his hate and lies in front of a loving audience, other than he now knows CNN will pander to him for ratings.
@ElaheIzadi CNN didn't get any answers from Trump. They just gave him the chance to reach a wider audience to repeat the lies and hatred you can hear spew at any Trump rally. He controlled the message.
While I'm saddened to see Sheila leave OpenSecrets, I know that whatever she decides to do next will be as important for our democracy and even more impressive. I wish OpenSecrets the best of luck in finding a new leader with Sheila's skills, dedication, and integrity. 4/4
I'm truly sorry Sheila is leaving OpenSecrets. She has done an outstanding job as leader of the premier group dedicated to disclosure of money in politics. She is the gold standard for a leader of a nonpartisan research and disclosure organization. 1/4 https://t.co/sSwKGo37qa
When I became executive director of OpenSecrets in 2001, I quickly learned how important she was, not only to the organization but also to the whole field of money in politics. I was thrilled when she was selected to be executive director when l left in 2006. 3/4
It looks like Trump still believes that, as a "star," he has the ability to get away with sexually assaulting women. While he also apparently believes this "star power" is based on a million years of history, at least he seems to be unsure whether its unfortunate or fortunate.
The New York jury that will determine whether Donald Trump raped a journalist E. Jean Carroll finally heard from the former president on Thursday—but only through videotaped testimony where a smug Trump kept dishing out brutish one-liners.

@RonFilipkowski OpenSecrets shows Nima Momeni, the alleged killer, contributed to Trump's campaign in 2016 & 2020. (His only other contrbution was to the DSCC in 2020.) You can be sure if he had contributed to Clinton or Biden, Reps and Fox fiends would already be spinning conspiracy theories.
Former President Trump is expected to travel to New York today ahead of a historic criminal arraignment tomorrow. I talked to the former general counsel at the FEC, Larry Noble, about what Trump’s strongest argument might be. @EarlyStart@LarryNoble_DC
