Habit #9: Be your own greatest encourager.
You’re not the thoughts you think, you’re the thoughts you believe. Don’t agree with the negativity. Make talking to yourself like a best friend a daily habit. Your mind is listening.
Save this. Share it. Make it a habit.
Fear doesn't shrink when you wait it out. It grows. Every time I've walked towards the thing that scared me, it got smaller. Every time I avoided it, it grew bigger. Move towards it. Even an inch at a time.
The way you talk to yourself matters.
Not just for you.
For everyone around you.
The mercy you withhold from yourself
is the mercy you'll struggle to give others.
The harsh words you speak to yourself
will find their way out.
Offer yourself what you would offer a friend.
Kindness. Compassion. Grace.
You deserve that too.
Life is hard.
A man either accepts that,
or spends his life trying to escape it.
When comfort becomes the mission,
the heart goes quiet.
God is calling you back - to strength, to courage,
to a life that costs something and is worth something.
@FitFounder Amazing breakdown of the process with an easy to understand explanation Dan. I saw the teaser on this from your email and looked it up. It seems so complex but is actually simple. The beauty is once you understand and work the process, you get a beautifully laid out plan.
The talents you were given are not for your benefit. God gave them to you for the benefit of the people around you. You are shaped for significance, and you will become significant by using your gifts, talents, and abilities to help other people.
