@andeepittmanux I also think advertised processes can favor groups. We like to think they are fair and transparent but seen conflicting results in the PSC audit. Not to mention it is easier to navigate a process for those internally than those external who are unfamiliar with the process

@andeepittmanux @jc5008 One could argue TMP would be a better predictor of success than an advertised process with SOMC and questions pulled out of the air by what people believe to be necessary for a job, but often not reviewed or proven to be accurate predictors.

How are we promoting reconciliation when we as a Government of Canada take back 50% of the honorariums? While it be good short term, there are longer term implications for these Elders. Not an excuse to not provide honorariums, just an observation on how the system fails them.7/7

We ask Indigenous Elders to come in to educate us and guide us in our work as federal public servants. We give them an honorarium as a gift for sharing their knowledge and experience with us. 1/7
