We still have very few answers. There are some steps we should take for full transparency including:
Calling a Board meeting
Preserving the election ballots
Hearing from KPMG
@CityWindsorON@DWBIA
Our City Council should step in immediately and take over the DWBIA and ask for a forensic audit of its financials and procedures.
For anybody that loves our downtown and wants to see it grow and prosper action must be taken immediately.
Thanks Larry @CityWindsorON
2- The #of elected board members was changed after election results came in.
3-Elections results perceived by some to be manipulated by an Executive that has a conflict-of-interest.
4- Lack of consistency in criteria on whether individuals could vote or not.@CityWindsorON
1- The Executive has decided that people running and voting in this election do not need to be BIA members or pay a BIA Levy
( Using this theory- anybody can run or vote with no connection to downtown). @CityWindsorON
I am at present a Board Member of the DWBIA and there has been no communication. Everything has been handled through the Executive, which is a major conflict, and lacks total accountability and a complete disregard for the Boardโs. @CityWindsorON
