@g33hendu True. Also, Chapman and Adames have no-trade clauses. Even if Posey wanted to do a full rebuild, he wouldn’t have been able to unless both Chapman and Adames approved any trades. I never claimed this to be a full rebuild. I was just saying that Posey was hoping for one.

When the San Francisco Giants trade Luis Arraez, Heliot Ramos, Robbie Ray and four other players to other teams within 24 hours before the trade deadline and get minor-league prospects in return, it’s a clear sign Buster Posey has decided that the Giants need a full rebuild.

@g33hendu That’s a fair point. I also didn’t mention the trades Posey already made earlier this season with Patrick Bailey and last year with Tyler Rogers, Mike Yastrzemski and Camilo Doval. Combine that with the aforementioned trades, that’s as close to a full rebuild as it could get.

@g33hendu It’s possible Posey wanted to trade those other players to do a full rebuild but couldn’t get any team willing to take on those contracts. With a lockout looming and the likelihood of a salary cap coming teams aren’t willing to trade prospects to take on expensive contracts.

The Golden State Valkyries are in second place in the WNBA standings at the All-Star Break. Very impressive for a second-year franchise that didn’t have a single No. 1 overall draft pick.

The story of the tournament is Cape Verde, as in the team that played Spain to a 0-0 tie in the first group game and lost in extra time to Argentina in the Round of 32.
