In honor of Good Friday, here's one of the best and most iconic moments from Bob Hoskins in THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY [1980]. I posted it fairly recently, but frankly it deserves to be posted regularly.
They asked AI, “What would it look like if cats held a rock concert?”… and the video it created is absolutely legendary 😂🎸🐱 Cats going wild on guitars, tiny paws smashing the drums… the whole place is going crazy! You can’t help but think, “I wish this were real so I could be at that concert!” 😂🔥❤️
Look at those fences in the 1973 Grand National.
Crisp out in front ridden by Richard Pitman just gets caught by Red Rum under Brian Fletcher.
A different race back then!
The ending of Breaking Bad (2013) “Felina” is a full-circle knockout. Walt walks back in, executes the plan to perfection, and goes out exactly where he belongs. Absolute finish.
Better Call Saul (2015–2022) pulls off the rarest trick. It sticks the ending. Lands every character beat, closes the loop with purpose, and locks its place among the best television ever made.
The ending of The Wire (2002–2008) ties everything together and still leaves so much unresolved. New faces step into old roles, the cycle keeps moving, and the show refuses to pretend anything really ends. Bold way to close it.
Just so we’re clear… Howard Lutnik is the *architect* of Trump’s tariff plan. He’s the one who pushed Trump on these.
And at the EXACT SAME TIME that he was doing this, Lutnik’s sons **who he appointed to take over his bank** were betting the tariffs would be struck down and buying up refund rights at $0.25 on the dollar.
And now the government owes companies refunds… and depending on how many refund slips they are holding, the Lutnik’s bank could make BILLIONS of dollars.
There’s nothing else I can say about this that won’t catch me a permaban
3 facts:
1. 457 UK troops were killed in Afghanistan, most in action
2. The US repeatedly did ask other NATO nations to send troops there, and 604 of them also died
3. When it was his turn, Donald Trump dodged the Vietnam draft all 5 times, with a diagnosis of 'bone spurs'
