Maybe there are a few cases like that, but I havent seen them.

@urA1qH9trl7222 I think Westerners just assume the body types in anime are the result of stylistic choices. Cartoons in the West have all sorts of body types regardless of race, but hair and eye colour are usually realistic.

For the Japanese hair and eye colour do seem to be more abstract.

@kujirano1 @epichan77 Yes! It depends on how someone says it. If they say "this character looks attractive, they must be white!" That is stupid. But I havent seen many westerners say that.

I think it is just a harmless assumption we make based on a characters hair and eye colour.

1: I am referring to anime characters with European features like eye and hair colour in general, not just Gojo in particular.
2: Unless explicitly stated, its normal for people to assume a characters hair and eye colour are natural, not dyed or with contacts.

@ro_shi_nkohyo @urA1qH9trl7222 @epichan77 Yes. Thats what westerners don't understand. For westerners, hair and eye colour has always been very important for identifying intra-european racial types. For the Japanese, it seems to represent something more abstract when it comes to anime characters.
