What we do know is that a mother has the right to disagree with her daughter politically, call out what she believes are lies, and openly express her opposition to her daughter’s political agenda.

Being someone’s mother does not mean you must support everything they say or do. Family relationships do not give politicians immunity from criticism.

You can question the timing, the motives, and the message of the ad. But dismissing everything a mother says simply because she is criticizing her own daughter is not a serious argument.

Amy Acton’s political record and statements should be judged on their merits—not shielded from criticism because of her family relationships.

I didn’t realize that Amy Acton had made sexual abuse allegations against her stepfather & been removed from her mom’s custody at 12yo.

I was responding to Amy’s mom making an ad saying her daughter was lying about their housing situation.

I have no idea if Amy’s abuse allegations are true, but if they are, then her mother is the monster.

Amy’s politics are horrible.
