I'd be shocked if London ever elected a mayor who wasn't on the left. There's a clear imbalance in the capital.
I'd vote for Ant Middleton, but he's got more chance of sprouting wings from his arse and flying to the moon.
I doubt Rupert will see this, but I’ll pose the question anyway.
As someone born, raised, and still living in London, I know many working-class white Londoners who feel politically powerless in the city they grew up in.
London has changed dramatically within a single lifetime, and many feel their concerns about those changes are ignored or dismissed.
Given London is the capital of the United Kingdom, does Restore believe there is now a democratic representation problem in the city?
If so, what reforms would it support? Stronger national oversight of the Mayor’s office, reform of London governance, or even consideration of the Mayor being elected by a national vote?
