At the command post of the Third Army Corps, I met with the warriors carrying out Operation Vivaldi. It is a serious operation, important in many ways for our defense overall and for the Donbas in particular. Over its three seasons, Ukraine’s Defense Forces have thwarted Russia’s plans to break through to the rear of the Slovyansk-Kramatorsk urban agglomeration and stabilized the situation in this section of the front. Russia has lost more than 5,000 killed and wounded, and another 250 occupiers have been added to our exchange fund. Since the start of the offensive, Ukraine has regained control of a total of 176 square kilometers of territory. Today, we discussed plans for the fourth season of active operations.
I also spoke with the commanders of the units directly involved in the operation. We discussed their needs in detail, including artillery, as well as compensation. One particularly promising area now is replacing our warriors with ground robotic systems wherever possible. During Vivaldi, this capability allowed us to accomplish many things. We will scale it up so that, more and more often, a drone rather than a warrior carries out the most dangerous tasks at the front.
I presented the warriors with state awards. Thank you for defending Ukraine and for your service!
Since last night, emergency services and repair crews have been working to address the aftermath of the Russian strike. It was a difficult attack – nearly 190 attack drones, as well as ballistic missiles. And the main target was energy infrastructure in the capital and the Kyiv region. Residential buildings were also damaged. Work is ongoing to restore electricity and water supplies everywhere they are currently unavailable. In the morning, a drone struck a grocery supermarket in Ivankovychi. First responders are extinguishing the fire. Kyiv is also under drone attack. A warehouse building was hit, and one person was killed. There were strikes on critical infrastructure in the Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, and Rivne regions. There was also damage in the Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Cherkasy regions. As of now, fourteen people have been injured across the country as a result of all these strikes. Tragically, five people have been killed, including a child. My condolences to their families and loved ones.
Our defenders managed to shoot down some of the ballistic missiles. But unfortunately, there were also hits. In recent days, there have been new air defense support packages – I thank our partners for the missiles, and everyone who honors our agreements and strengthens the protection of our skies. This is exactly how we must continue to work. Every interceptor missile truly saves lives. And the closer we get to winter, the more of this protection we need. We must do everything to ensure that Russia’s bet on ballistic missile and drone terror does not pay off. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine.
Work to address the aftermath of Russian strikes in our cities and communities is continuing virtually nonstop. They are simply terrorists targeting life, our people, and purely civilian sites – day and night.
In Kyiv, the depot at Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi railway station, data centers, business centers, and residential buildings were damaged. In the Odesa region, the strikes hit an educational institution, a dormitory, and two foreign vessels. The Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Zhytomyr, Volyn, and Rivne regions also came under Russian attack last night. Energy facilities, substations, civilian businesses, and residential buildings were damaged.
There were successful interceptions last night, including of ballistic missiles. Thank you to everyone involved in our defense and to everyone who honors our agreements. I am grateful to our American and Norwegian partners for the NASAMS system and the package of missiles for it. I am grateful to France and Germany for the air defense support package provided in recent days, specifically the missiles. Against the backdrop of Russia’s daily escalation, it is important that the protection of life receive continuous support and that such packages continue to arrive. Thank you to everyone who is helping.
There are important results from our troops in the Lyman sector of the Donetsk region as part of Operation Vivaldi, as well as from the Airborne Assault Forces grouping as part of another one of our active defense operations. The occupiers continue to be eliminated, and the designated objectives are being achieved. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi delivered a report today. Overall, this week, across all sectors of active combat operations on the front, our units neutralized 10,660 Russian troops killed and wounded. And every such Russian loss is confirmed by video evidence.
The most intense fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Lyman sectors. Missions are also being carried out in the Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions. Based on this week’s results, the warriors of the Third Army Corps and the 68th Separate Oleksa Dovbush Airmobile Brigade of the 8th Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine deserve special recognition. Thank you all for the results, warriors! Every such week on the front that becomes ours – Ukrainian – in terms of the overall situation prevents Russia from mounting greater offensive activity against Ukraine. The Commander-in-Chief and I also determined our next active steps. Glory to Ukraine!

Our long-range responses had a very significant impact in the Moscow region last night. One of Russia’s key oil industry facilities and the aggressor’s logistics facility were hit. These are billions of dollars that sustain the war machine. The systems used included FP-1, RZ-100, MICH-2000, Palianytsia, Vendetta, Liutyi, Bars, Flamingo, Sichen, and Pelican.
I thank our warriors for their accuracy: the Security Service of Ukraine together with the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and the Foreign Intelligence Service. Sanctions were also imposed on a facility in the Voronezh region. Moscow must end its brutal war and choose peace instead of building layered rings of air defense at the expense of other regions. Steps toward de-escalation are on the table – in energy and food security. What is needed is political will. I thank everyone who is strengthening Ukraine’s long-range capabilities. I am grateful to everyone who complements our long-range responses with responses through sanctions. Glory to Ukraine!
Since last evening, efforts have been underway in the village of Myla near Kyiv to deal with the aftermath of a Russian drone strike. On-site coordination centers have been set up to assist people. All necessary services are deployed. State Emergency Service units are on the ground – with more than 300 personnel involved. A warehouse was struck, followed by a detonation. Unfortunately, the surrounding infrastructure has suffered significant damage – residential buildings, as well as a care home for elderly people and people with disabilities, have been damaged. As of now, 27 people have been reported killed. One of those killed was the head of the Dmytrivka community, Taras Didych. He was rescuing people. My condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims. Dozens of people have been injured. More than 370 people have already been evacuated, and the evacuation is ongoing. I received reports from Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi and Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Vyhivskyi. Those who allowed this to happen must be held accountable for their decisions. Investigators from the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine are conducting a pre-trial investigation, and criminal proceedings have been opened on charges of official negligence. There are regulations in place – ammunition cannot be stored near homes or other residential areas. Appropriate conclusions will certainly be drawn.
There were also strikes on our regions overnight – the Odesa, Dnipro, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kherson, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, and Chernihiv regions. More than 260 attack drones were involved, as well as Banderol drones. Kyiv is under virtually nonstop attack from jet-powered drones. Ukraine cannot be left alone in finding solutions to defend against such strikes, and I thank everyone who is helping with additional support packages and sanctions steps against Russia.
Efforts to deal with the aftermath of Russia’s attack on our regions have been underway since last night. It was a combined strike – drones and ballistic missiles. The Russians struck critical infrastructure in the Poltava, Sumy, and Kherson regions. In the Kharkiv region, they struck residential buildings. In Kramatorsk, a guided aerial bomb hit a high-rise building. Four people were rescued by the State Emergency Service units. Three people were injured in Zaporizhzhia, and two in Kryvyi Rih. An apartment building was struck in Odesa. In Chubynske, Kyiv region, all the necessary emergency services are involved in putting out fires at enterprises following the drone strikes.
Russia continues to invest in missiles and in expanding its war, and that means more countermeasures are needed. This week, our European allies made important decisions to strengthen Ukrainian air defense. It is important that these are also supplemented by additional ballistic missile defense packages, first and foremost through PURL. Everything that strengthens the protection of our skies effectively saves the lives of Ukrainians every day. To bring down Russia’s desire to keep fighting, we need to effectively bring down the missiles Moscow clings to so much to keep the war going. I am grateful to everyone who understands this and helps.

An absolutely cynical and despicable strike was carried out by the Russians against an ordinary shopping center in Kryvyi Rih. The attack drones struck in two waves – half an hour after the first hit and the fire, there was a second strike targeting the emergency responders. As of now, five deaths have been reported. My condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed. At least 52 people have been injured, including six children. All those injured are receiving the necessary medical care. Attacks like these are nothing less than terrorist acts. And the world must respond to them accordingly – with real pressure on the aggressor. For peace to be possible, Russia must face real accountability.
A horrible and sleepless night in Kyiv. This was one of the most brutal Russian attacks to date, with ballistic missiles raining down on our capital one after another.
At least 12 people were killed in Kyiv, and one more in the Kyiv region. A school, a children’s hospital, and residential buildings were severely damaged. Russia also attacked Chernihiv and Odesa regions.
With such horrific war crimes Putin wants to demonstrate complete impunity. Each Russian ballistic missile is an act of barbarism. And each interceptor delivered to Ukraine is an act of humanity and saved human lives.
We know partners who can deliver these interceptors, and we urge them once again to act without delay. Every delay is measured in human lives.
We are informing all states and international organizations of the consequences of this attack, and we urge them to take immediate, concrete steps to intensify pressure on Russia and bolster support for Ukraine.
I urge Ukrainians abroad to take action.
We are calling on the Ukrainian World Congress, as well as all Ukrainian organizations and communities in key capitals and around the world, to raise their voices now.
We call for three critical measures to protect human lives:
- Deliver air defense: Transfer or sell additional interceptors and air defense systems to Ukraine.
- Tighten sanctions: Increase sanctions pressure to cripple Russia’s ability to manufacture these instruments of terror.
- Build defense capabilities: Partner with Ukraine to develop anti-ballistic capabilities.
Emergency crews have been working at the sites of Russian strikes since overnight. It was a massive attack – the Russians had been preparing for a long time, combining different types of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones, aiming to cause as much damage as possible to civilian infrastructure. There is destruction in Kyiv and the region, as well as in the Odesa and Chernihiv regions.
In the capital, residential buildings were damaged, including a high-rise whose upper floors were destroyed, as well as a children’s hospital and a school. Emergency response and rescue operations are ongoing. As of now, we know that this Russian strike has claimed the lives of 12 people in Kyiv, with one person killed in the region. My condolences to all the families and loved ones. Around 40 more people were injured. In the Odesa region, the enemy carried out a drone attack on a border crossing with Moldova; in the Chernihiv region, it targeted gas infrastructure. I thank all the rescuers, medics, police officers, and utility workers who have been helping people from the first moments.
Unfortunately, while Moscow is investing in ballistic missiles and escalation, such strikes do not always receive the response they should from the world. And as long as Ukraine does not have enough anti-ballistic defense, Russia will not consider peace seriously. We are doing everything to ensure we have that protection, and work on the FREYJA program continues every day. But Patriot interceptors cannot yet be replaced, and we need them every day. Every additional missile saves the lives of our people. I thank everyone who understands this and is looking for and finding ways to help.
Emergency services are working at the sites of the Russian strikes that took place this morning and last night. In Kyiv, the fires were quickly extinguished, and emergency work is now ongoing. The Russians injured six people in the city and the region. Kremenchuk and Kryvyi Rih were also hit with ballistic missiles. Wherever the Russians can reach with their ballistic missiles, they strike civilian infrastructure. In Kryvyi Rih, two people were killed and 14 others were injured. One person was killed in Sumy. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Since this morning, air raid alerts have continued in many regions – the Russians launched another wave of drones.
This week alone, 13 regions came under attack. The enemy launched more than 1,550 attack drones, nearly 1,560 guided aerial bombs, and 62 missiles at our cities and communities, most of them ballistic missiles of various types.
I am grateful to all the services – State Emergency Service units, police, and medics – who are the first to arrive at the sites of attacks, help people, and respond quickly to save lives and restore normalcy. It is very important that this dedication of our people be complemented by new steps from our partners to protect the skies. When North Korean ballistic missiles destroy infrastructure and claim lives here in Europe, European interceptors cannot simply be allowed to sit in storage. Lives need to be protected. Russia must be stopped. New packages literally mean lives saved and infrastructure protected every single day. I thank every partner who is helping with this.
Today, there are new significant results from our deep strikes. In Russia’s Samara region, one of the key enterprises within Roscosmos – the Progress Center, which was involved, among other things, in electronics production – was hit. Flamingo missiles were used. A good achievement. The distance from our border is about 900 kilometers. Our long-range sanctions also reached the Savasleyka airbase, where the carriers of Russian missiles that strike our cities and villages are based – about 700 kilometers from Ukraine. We also have confirmation of the damage we were aiming to inflict at an oil facility in Ust-Luga – more than 800 kilometers from our border.
I am grateful to all the units involved for their accuracy. Our plan of long-range sanctions against Russia for this war is being implemented, and it is important that Russia’s war potential be reduced. Peace is needed, and this must be evident in Russia – through concrete damage to specific facilities. Glory to Ukraine!
I received reports from Sergii Koretskyi, Mykhailo Drapatyi, and Viktor Mykyta on the consequences of Russian strikes on Odesa, Kharkiv, Pavlohrad, and our other regions.
In Odesa and the region, repair work is ongoing to restore power supply to people after a brutal strike on the energy sector. All necessary services are involved, and the work will continue for as long as needed. Residential buildings and the port were also damaged overnight. This is, in particular, how Russia is systematically waging war against global food security. As of now, eight people are known to have been injured. Everyone is receiving assistance.
In Kharkiv, a direct drone strike destroyed four floors of an ordinary residential high-rise. Dozens of people were wounded, and two people were killed. My condolences…
In Pavlohrad, there was an absolutely wicked strike near a shopping mall and on energy infrastructure. Nine people were injured in the city, including four children. There were also strikes on the Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Kherson, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.
Russia continues to bet on ballistic terror, which is not limited to just one city or community. This week alone, 61 missiles of various types were used against Ukraine, including 56 that strike along a ballistic trajectory. There were also more than 1,560 attack drones and 1,540 aerial bombs. Every such attack on human life serves as a constant reminder – we need more pressure, more sanctions against Russia, and more air defense for Ukraine. I am grateful to those who are helping.
Last night, Russia killed three people in Pukhivka, Kyiv region, with drone strikes – a grandfather, a grandmother, and their grandson. The boy was only three years old. Four more people were hospitalized: the child’s parents, his 15-year-old brother, and a neighbor who came to the family’s aid and was wounded in a double-tap strike. The victims suffered thermal burns and shrapnel wounds. My condolences… It was an ordinary residential building. The Russians could not have been unaware of this. There was also a strike involving six ballistic missiles against civilian infrastructure in Kyiv. As of now, one person has been reported dead. My condolences to the family and loved ones. The Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, and Poltava regions also came under attack.
Europe, America, and Ukraine have long wanted to stop this Russian war. Only Putin doesn’t want to, and he’s desperately clinging to his ballistic missiles and drones to keep the war going. More pressure is needed. New sanctions that will prevent the production of these ballistic missiles. And we definitely need more protection for our people. Anti-ballistic capabilities, interceptor missiles for Patriot, SAMP/T, NASAMS, Hawk, and our F-16s – all of this works and helps protect lives when it is here, in Ukraine, rather than sitting in warehouses thousands of kilometers away from Russian strikes against life. I thank everyone who shows leadership and, despite everything, provides new air defense packages.
As of now, 44 people have been reported injured in the massive Russian strike on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Another 17 people, tragically, were killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. It was a heavy strike – 24 ballistic missiles, 4 Zircon/Oniks missiles, and another 115 drones, a significant number of them jet-powered. The main targets of the attack were warehouse facilities belonging to civilian businesses. There were also strikes on infrastructure and a railway station. These facilities had nothing to do with the war – a brewing company, construction materials warehouses, and civilian logistics facilities.
Ballistic missile interceptors could have saved the lives of those killed today. It is very important that our partners understand that delays in supplying them, or an unwillingness to provide anti-ballistic systems, lead directly to such horrific casualties and destruction. Partners who are not yet ready to play a more active role in supplying interceptors can help by implementing new sanctions. A significant share of Russia’s ballistic missile production is still not under sanctions. Even now. New steps are needed – from the G7, the European Union, and everyone who supports the protection of life. Thank you to those who are willing to help in this way. — @ZelenskyyUa

Since last night, response efforts have been underway in Kyiv and the surrounding region following Russia’s strike. There were numerous fires across the city. Seven districts were affected, and, as usual, the Russians struck ordinary residential buildings. Eighteen residential buildings, a school, the Lithuanian Embassy, and infrastructure facilities were damaged. As of now, nine people have been reported killed in this attack. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Dozens of people were injured. Medical teams are helping everyone who needs it.
Overnight, the Russians launched 35 missiles at Ukraine, including 27 ballistic missiles, as well as 185 attack drones of various types. Kyiv was the primary target, but strikes also hit the Dnipro, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions. Only one ballistic missile was intercepted, simply because there are no interceptors for the Patriot systems. And it is this shortage of ballistic missile interceptors that only encourages Russia to launch such attacks that take human lives.
It is critical that partners hear that these capabilities are needed not somewhere in stockpiles for hypothetical scenarios, but here and now, to contain and stop the Russian war in Ukraine. Every package of ballistic missile interceptors saves the lives of our people. And every night without them results in more casualties. I thank everyone who is working to strengthen our defenses.
Today, the Russians used their ballistic missile to destroy an ordinary house belonging to an ordinary family in Radushne, near Kryvyi Rih, in our Dnipro region. It was the Voronov family: mother Olena, father Artem, seven children – Mark, Dominika, Zakharii, Azarii Ilai, Federica, Emilia, and Viorika – and one-and-a-half-year-old grandson Artem, the child of their eldest son, who is now defending Ukraine. As of now, it has been confirmed that parents and three children – Mark, Azarii Ilai, and Emilia – were killed. The Russian missile struck with such force that almost nothing was left of the house… Fragments of human bodies were found under the rubble, and only forensic examinations can establish which members of the family they belong to. The fate of Zakharii, Dominika, Viorika, Federica, and Artem is still being determined… It is a horrific crime of Russia’s war against Ukraine – against ordinary people, against ordinary life.
This Russian evil can only be stopped by the whole world. No one in the world can be left to face such terror alone. And when we say that Ukraine needs missiles for Patriots, when we seek the capabilities to defend ourselves against Russian ballistic missiles, this isn’t about abstractions. We are talking about families like this, people like these, who can live if we have the means to shoot down Russian missiles – if our partners help us with interceptors. Families who can be killed if we have nothing to stop Russian Iskanders with.
It is important that these people are seen by those who make decisions – decisions at the Pentagon, in European capitals, and everywhere in the world where there is an opportunity to help Ukraine protect lives. Reality speaks for itself. Protecting lives is necessary. Air defense missiles are necessary.
Eternal memory to all Ukrainians who were killed by Russian strikes… Eternal gratitude to everyone who helps!
