When Britain was in the EU, we weren't allowed to favour British firms in the award of contracts for rolling stock (or most major public procurement projects).
Now we're out of the EU, Labour should copy this poise: British-made kit by unionised workers.
Make a big thing of it!
Statt über (gesprengte) Pipelines kommt das russische Gas nun flüssig nach Europa. Einfach teurer, aufwändiger, mit mehr Umweltbelastung. Wie nennt man das? Irrsinn, Verblödung, Lust an Selbstzerstörung? https://t.co/VFD16gYpdB
@RupertLowe10@RocknRoller2019 And would she parachute into occupied, hostile lands, like so many brave women in the past who parachuted into occupied lands to help fight the tyrants the Jews and others had to flee?

@philipmurraylaw it does far more than that. It enables you to deal with unknown sciences, master communication, see when people are trying to control you through language ...

Ceo’s van Axa, ING en Deutsche Bank slaken noodkreet over onveiligheid in Brussel, maar niemand luistert.

EU just intervened in iPhone, forcing interoperability w/ rival makers of watches, earbuds etc. It's huge.
But @EU_Competition dropped the docs at midnight & barely made a squeak.
Anyone would think they are trying not to alert @elonmusk@realDonaldTrump & @tim_cook
What a load of rubbish.
Below are the actual trade figures for EU and non-EU exports in 2019 prices.
Can you spot this £27b.
Nope me neither.
What I do know is the UK has saved ~£22b a year in EU membership fee's from revenue which would need our EU exports to jump by ~£100b!
@hools@DavidGHFrost The 'omnibus' sounds par for the course from Brussels HQ.
And our Starmer government proposes to accept the regulations automatically ...
There will come a point when businesses & people will simply say no. Unless of course the brainwashing machines have been at work.
The push to weaken Germany's debt brake is deeply depressing. It'd be one thing if it came in the context of reforms to boost competitiveness, but no one's talking about those. This is just about more debt for the sake of it, which has been a disaster for Italy, Spain and France.
Even assuming the far right candidate is supported by Putin etc, Romania's intelligence services are highly suspicious:
"Notwithstanding numerous elections and EU membership since 2007, the real winners of Romania’s transition to democracy are the security elite – the former members of the Securitate, and their successor generation, who protect their elders’ fortunes as they make their own.
Romania remains intensely conflicted over its recent past, and constrained by it, even if that’s not what first meets a visitor’s eye. Romania is, after all, a country that has ostensibly segued into the European mainstream, with an urban middle class that drives fine automobiles and converses with ease in foreign languages.
Today, nine security services, the heirs of the Securitate colossus, operate behind the scenes in Romania, or, in some cases, openly – to manipulate politics and enrich their members at the expense of ordinary Romanians. The country’s main domestic security agency, the SRI, operates with a budget larger than that of Germany’s equivalent, the Verfassungsschutz, and nearly 2.5 times that of the equivalent in the Netherlands, the EU country closest to Romania in population. It is estimated to employ 12,000 people – the official numbers are undisclosed, and my requests for an interview were refused – six times more than the 17-million populous Netherlands. Despite a change of generations, Romania’s security services are not only lavishly bankrolled but largely unchecked by other government agencies. Although much progress has been made, Romania still has a long way to go to internalize the rule of law." https://t.co/8ZaSHL3Jff
