Dave Filoni on his philosophy with Darth Vader in 'Maul - Shadow Lord' 🔴
“The key to Vader for me is that he’s not Anakin. He doesn’t recognize that. He can’t. Anything that reminds him of Anakin, he’s going to destroy. So when he sees a Jedi, he’s going to destroy the Jedi, because the Jedi would remind him unconsciously or consciously that he betrayed all of his friends and everything he knew and the life he grew up with. For what? For nothing. He lost everything. He made a bad trade. He was lied to. He was deceived. He can’t accept that truth. So he’s even farther down the path than Maul"
“Maul is struggling to let go of hate... but Anakin got consumed by it. If he were to face what he did, it would destroy him more. I find a lot of pity for him because of what he did and the depth of his treachery. And that’s Darth Vader. Anakin’s trapped in there somewhere, and Darth Vader won’t let him surface. And so to me, the key is not to actually give him a character. He’s devoid of it because he doesn’t care. Darth Vader does not care. He does not have compassion. He does not see you. He sees the thing he wants to destroy, and he will do that. It’s like the same feeling you got in Rogue One when he comes down the hallway. He doesn’t talk to those guys. He’s going to destroy them. He has one mission, and all of his remorse and all of his anger and all of his hate is in every swing that he does. That’s how it’s resolved"
Black Sabbath's ninth studio album, "Heaven and Hell" was released #OnThisDay in 1980. Did you know that Lynn Curlee's cover artwork was originally inspired by a 1928 photograph of women dressed as angels smoking backstage during a college Christmas pageant? The portraits of the band that appeared on the back cover were drawn by Harry Carmean.
One year without you and still moving through the strange and beautiful universe you opened for me, my dear friend. Forever changed, forever grateful, forever your Kale 🤍
@BottleneckNYC When you are there at the start of the hour & almost done going paying with Paypal & then it says its sold out before the payment can be completed is some annoying stuff indeed..
I mean why make only 150 for such a popular TV show?
Where will I find you now? In the memories, our unspoken embraces, our missed phone calls, no, you’re forever in my heart. Deepest condolences to Sharon and all family members. RIP Sincere regrets to all the fans. Never goodbye. Thank you forever. Bill Ward
From the day Ozzy arrived barefoot on his doorstep to their emotional final show three weeks ago, the Black Sabbath bassist reflects on 57 years of friendship ⬇️ https://t.co/aeDTeE7IrK
Goodbye dear friend - thanks for all those years - we had some great fun. 4 kids from Aston- who’d have thought, eh?
So glad we got to do it one last time, back in Aston.
Love you.
I just can’t believe it! My dear dear friend Ozzy has passed away only weeks after our show at Villa Park.
It’s just such heartbreaking news that I can’t really find the words, there won’t ever be another like him. Geezer, Bill and myself have lost our brother.
My thoughts go out to Sharon and all the Osbourne family. Rest in peace Oz. Tony
It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.
We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.
Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis
DAVID LYNCH has passed away. We have lost one of the greatest directors in history, a superlative artist. A unique and timeless cultural figure. Forever in our memory, forever in our hearts. Long live The Greatest.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Yes, I have emphysema from my many years of smoking. I have to say that I enjoyed smoking very much, and I do love tobacco - the smell of it, lighting cigarettes on fire, smoking them - but there is a price to pay for this enjoyment, and the price for me is emphysema. I have now quit smoking for over two years. Recently I had many tests and the good news is that I am in excellent shape except for emphysema. I am filled with happiness, and I will never retire.
I want you all to know that I really appreciate your concern.
Love,
David
BLADE RUNNER was released 42 years ago today. Acclaimed as one of the greatest science fiction movies ever made, and among director Ridley Scott’s most popular films, the story behind the scenes might have you taking the Voight-Kampf test…

Just got to meet one of my favorite talk show hosts of all time, Graham Norton. He's as delightfully charming and funny in person as he is on his show. I hope I never see him again.
