New? Maybe not entirely to some. I've had something similar done to my teams in the past, whereby saying 1up, 2up and so on sends a message to them on what movement, shape or particular actions need to be done.
Glad that there's someone doing similar on a global stage though😊
Rewatching the Santiago Munez movie; Goal! The Dream Begins, and I'm all having teary eyes from the get-go.
The love for the sport wasn't supposed to be still there this much, especially at this time🥹
@matovium And, kudos to him for having comps of himself. That's a very big step for any potential recruitment.
Reminds me of about 2 years back where a scout friend needed players, and all those who were available, none of them had a comp.
That's how they missed out on european trials
@matovium Surely. Though I don't know what kind of level that is, as I have just seen his free kick comp and boy oh boy, the keepers were meh.
One thing that I can't disagree with though, is that he has something to work with.
@matovium True. But then however much your earlier statement might be true in line to the opposition at hand, it's very much likely to not translate the same way against 'better' opposition.
So to me, I believe better judgement is when there's better opposition than what's displayed here.
@AnslemNwosu@MBousqet@wator_ski Not my question, but it came up in my notifications.
So, I for one, I would disagree. Mikel ain't no totally pragmatic, and neither is he a total idealist.
I would classify him as a pragmatic idealist
@BusingyeJose@mugisha_everton By hearing submission, many right away concluded that she meant only women submitting to their men, forgetting where she talks of men having to do the same for their women.
@UTDPeeter There's the sustainability/regression test. A player having a higher percentile in more minutes speaks of consistency, whereas a high percentile in less minutes has stats protected by a smaller sample size.
And the small difference in percentile is actually big than it looks
@UTDPeeter And also going by this, you could as well check out Jan Paul Van Hecke. He ranks in a very high percentile as compared to Licha.
This would still say otherwise to your original post of Licha being the best in this aspect
@UTDPeeter I didn't say he doesn't make them, no. That's changing what I said.
The high percentile is inflated by the sample size. There is no guarantee they could maintain that sky high percentile frequency if they had to play much more minutes.
There's always risk in regards to minutes.
@UTDPeeter It's not about taking away what you said, no.
I'm have always said it, and I'm a firm believer that stats only show you what a player does, and not what they can do.
That's why you see players perform differently under different environments.
@UTDPeeter Take a look at the case in point. Using the graphic you sent, Licha lies in the 95% percentile for progressive passes yet going by actual figures of passes made, he ain't even in the top 15 of progressive passers.
So stats are always good with proper attention given to them.
@UTDPeeter That's my very issue. Stats don't usually paint a clear picture, especially when someone doesn't use them well.
Percentile differ from actual values
