@Flying_Vixen Back in the days when I worked in the (then) EWS Loco Control we used to try to keep 66001 and 66002 in Cornwall for china clay workings because they had standard screw couplings only. It was a bit difficult to return them when major exams became due for them away from St Blazey.

@lateturn I would benefit from Late Turn’s judgement on something similar. During my career in railway operations (now retired) I often heard reference to ‘a point failure’ when to me it should be ‘a points failure’ (as in a set of points). Put me out of my misery with an adjudication!

UR-82009, a Ukrainian Antonov AN24-100, at Manchester Airport which I photographed on 15th Oct 2005, in happier times for this aircraft.

On the first day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 it was in a hanger at Kyiv-Gostomel airport and was damaged during the attack.
