As @SlimFast has been in US stores for decades now, people seem to compare it to newcomers like @huel .
While both are famous for their meal replacements, they couldn't offer a more different offering.

Slimfast might be easier to purchase and easier to like at first, but I found it to be overly sweet. Their shakes do mix great, so that's a plus too.
But Slimfast even fails to accomplish what is set to do: help you lose weight. The shakes don't fill you up.
In Europe you also have Plenny Pots and YFood Pots, which are pretty good - maybe not as tasty.
For H&S, you have ProteinWorks Savory Meals.
Competitive market, but great to see more and more options!
They are really expensive. There's no way around it at $6.81 per pack when buying only 2.
The funny thing is that their fiercest competitor is just right at home.
While not as convenient, Huel H&S is the perfect alternative. More flavors, cheaper...
That said, I think that for most Huel Black (or Original)+ Daily Greens combo will be a better solution.
Many of the extra ingredients (adaptogens, for instance) are underdosed - like in other competitors. You simply can't pack enough together.
This product is clearly inspired by @kachavatribe .
There's a strong trend in the US for the Superfood blend market (Greens like AG-1, HumanTonik) - and adding them to your meal replacement shakes seems like the next obvious step.
Despite my criticisms to many of their actions, they have led the market and set trends. Ultimately, the complete food industry wouldn't be where it is now without Huel.
A slightly different piece:
A brief piece on how @huel reached 200m revenue

An great milestone for the company founded by @JulianHearn with @JamesCollierMT and masterfully guided by James McMaster
I would love to do a deep dive sometime on the path that Huel followed to become the largest complete food company.
What their biggest successes (Huel Black), challenges (winning the US battle), and failures (Huel bar?) have been.

So what have they really changed? They seem similar to the past bars.
I will have to taste and have a better look at them.
Will the 4th time be the charm?
@huel has redone their meal replacement bars. Again.
This is the 4th try, and I hope they get it right, but the reaction seems mixed.
