hop on Showdown with PASRS
play your heart out for 1-2 days
pick a team
do 5-10-something games a day after that with thoughtful play and really think what happened in games

I'm shocked that there's folks that are defending the inaccessible nature of a key game piece in a competitive game which promotes "Pokémon battles for everyone!"

With Floette winning the whole tournament - I think it's absurd that such a meta-defining mon is behind a game + Home

It had 16,2% usage rate (990 Floettes in total) and 30% usage for Top Cut, so they do win

I thought Champions was supposed to make VGC accessible for everyone

@Latsu7 2 of the top cut floettes were accidentally inputted as regular floette, it actually had 40% usage in top cut (8/20)

@Prince_Spoopy In my opinion the whole point of Champions was to take away the time investment for getting specific Pokémon and having Floette behind ZA postgame spits in the face of that

I'd be happy to pay VP or even like $10 for the Pokémon - then it wouldn't be unlike getting a card in TCG

I think people forget that not everyone has access to Floette and even then it had a ridiculous usage conversion rate of 16,2% in D1 -> 23,63% D2 -> 30% Top Cut

+ it had one of the best winrates (53,60%) when discounting outliers with less than 10 Pokémon

As expected, the largest VGC tournament of all time, with over 6,000 players, ended with a top cut completely dominated by Mega Floette. That is not okay at all. Champions is not supposed to be a pay-to-win game! #paytonwin 🥱

The Homeless Champion made it to D2 in the largest VGC tournament ever!

Not sure if I'll do the gauntlet tomorrow (especially as I could potentially miss cut), but I feel accomplished as is
