Chopper ability is 100% from his devil fruit obviously. By him using the Rumbar Balls, he is able to do forceful awakening & use the true DF ability.

See if he was going through a natural awakening, it would involve his mind,haki and devil fruit being one like luffy with sun God.

People think by him having this ability, it means he can cure all natural diseases & spiritual curses. But it’s only with his DF, he will just be able to cure spirit curses & liberate them with his Df. Meaning he can still go on & accomplish his dream to cure natural sicknesses in world.
