@AMDG_Derek Purgatory is just such a human idea. It is equivalent to other transitory punitive afterlifes in other religions. God either forgives you for your sins or he doesn't. There's no in-between state for God's forgiveness.
@gshockcock@ShitpostRock@Yeenie_Mcbeenie You guys are so insistent that he's a tourist and constantly harassing the guy but it's really obviously just lame attempts at being like the twitter equivalent of a schoolyard bully. You just make shit up about him and get yourselves worked up because you don't like him. Losers.
Here is a very fine example of compositional depth in the Northern European winter landscape. Schultzberg often painted these Swedish winter landscapes as constructions of what he saw.
The classic swooping of the trail leading one’s eyed into the distance was quite popular at the time, as well as using the effects of a strong morning light to bring warm hues into the winter snow (which from experience can be difficult when painting). Almost like an example straight from Edgar Payne’s book on landscape composition.
Schultzberg had a good sense of mid tones, because it can be challenging to pull strong light and darks out of such a scene without the manipulation of light that only comes at certain times of day. Like the other Scandinavian landscape painters, he made use of certain periods of winter when the light wouldn’t totally fade above the horizon.
Some would mistake winter painting in toto as kitsch, but the Scandinavian landscape tradition certainly would not be labelled as such. There isn’t the “demand to be pleased” or entertained, there is no Kinkadean hideaway cottage with perfect glowing candle light in its windows. They wanted to remind you of the harshness and vastness of the Scandinavian winter months.
@Zavarah_OwO@KingOfLeyndell That is absolutely not what the souls games are about you communist idiot. Media literacy to you people is just interpreting everything through your extremely narrow minded perception of the world. That isn't even what the souls games are about a little bit. Just totally wrong.
@2ManyGrassToads@u_m_a_m_i "invasion psychosis" and it's irrefutable evidence of hostile foreigners committing organized large scale fraud to extract resources from taxpayers. You are fucking crazy
@2ManyGrassToads@u_m_a_m_i You think I like those things? Believe it or not, those are a little more clandestine in nature than a single ethnic group poorly coordinating to defraud the government. You actually like the fraud. You like that it happened and hope more of it happens, because you hate America
