POV: You're trying to get the entire family ready and out the door to make it in time for Jumu'ah.

Other POV: Your dad just left without you.

Hope the flashbacks aren't too vivid.

This summer, our team spent time together in Bursa, Turkey for a team-wide onsite! We shared meals, discussed goals for the year, visited beautiful landmarks and soaked in Turkish culture and hospitality.

As a globally remote company, its such a pleasure to get to spend IRL time with all the wonderful people who work at LaunchGood 💚

[LaunchGood @LaunchGood]

Special thank you to our partners Swish Marketing Agency and StartBAD Studios for their great work on this series!

This Jumu'ah, remember to FILL IN THE GAPS #LoveFridays 🕌

I had a very humbling reflection at the end of our @LaunchGood onsite in Bursa. We actually had been in Bursa 7 years prior, in 2019. Back then (photo on left) the whole team could fit at a single dinner table - now we take over the whole restaurant (photo on right)

And the team has changed dramatically. Only 3 of the people in the first photo are still at LaunchGood, yet the mission remains the same, and the impact has grown 100x

LaunchGood has truly become an organization bigger than any one person, even the founders. This is the dream of every founder: what they’ve created can outlive them

I pray it only grows stronger from here, and I’m blessed to continue to lead this team into that future 🤲

What if today you could change someone's life forever?

Last month, millions watched us prove that hearing your family shouldn't cost $4,700.

Now we're preparing to ship our first pre-orders, and we're inviting YOU to help bring affordable hearing to the people who need it most.

As a thank you, one supporter will be flown out to join us and help restore hearing for thousands.

Last year, we launched something new — LaunchGood Deeds, a look back at your generosity over the past year.

You loved it, so we’re back for another year.

Inside, you’ll find a personalized report of how you gave in 1447. Your total donated, top causes, and where you had the biggest impact.

Take a moment to check it out. It’s worth it!

Hiring for critical role at @LaunchGood: Senior Product Manager for Giving Experiences

Alhamdulillah LaunchGood has facilitated nearly $1 billion of sadaqah since we started 13 years ago, from Detroit to Mozambique

Every day around 5,000 people contribute over $100,000 to incredible Muslims & causes around the world

But we're only scratching the surface. The potential is billions a year, which of course itself is just a means - a means to unlock the incredible potential energy of our Ummah

I'm looking for an experienced PM, with a proven track record in mobile apps, who is ready to jump in and take LaunchGood to the next level.

Some additional notes:
1. Report directly to me
2. Lead an experienced team with 2 Product Designers & 6 engineers
3. Ideally able to start in time to join us for Team Onsite in Bursa July 5-10 🇹🇷
4. Fully remote (although preference for GTA hire, both designers there 🇨🇦)
5. Deep care for the Ummah and appreciation for the amanah of managing donations

Bright Horizon Academy is located within the Islamic Center of San Diego, the mosque at the center of Monday’s horrific attack that martyred Br. Amin Abdullah, Mansour Kaziha, and Nadir Awad.

The selfless acts of these three heroes saved the lives of so many others, including the students and staff of Bright Horizon Academy.

Our hearts are with the students, families, educators, and staff affected by the shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego earlier this week.

The school has launched this fundraiser to help provide immediate and long-term assistance for their community.

This campaign will support:
• Student & staff support
• Community healing & mental health
• Enhanced security resources

A little reflection

[Chris AR Blauvelt @arblauvelt]

Subhanallah a bitter-sweet moment, the campaign for the martyrs of San Diego - brothers Amin, Nader & Abu Esa - just hit $3 million in under 48 hours

هل جزاء الإحسان إلا الإحسان 🤲

MashAllah we have the most generous ummah:
1. 36,000+ donors from 77 countries
2. At peak, a donation every 2 seconds
3. Largest donation just $10,000 - average donation only $83. Power in numbers
4. 67% of donors were returning donors to @LaunchGood

May Allah have abundant mercy on Amin, Nader and Abu Ezz and their families and the San Diego community and Imam Taha and ICSD and CAIR San Diego and all those who contributed

[LaunchGood @LaunchGood]

The outpouring of support, generosity, and solidarity across the globe has been tremendous.

The following is a statement from Imam Taha and the Board of the @IslamicCenterSD:

Our fundraiser has always been intended for all three families — Amin Abdullah, Nader Awad, and Mansour Kaziha.

Our campaign page included this from the
start in a disclaimer. We waited for family confirmation before making it more explicit — out of respect during this painful time.

We now have that confirmation. We have updated our campaign to make clear what was always our intention: equal support for all three families.

We grieve with all three.
We stand with all three.

Imam Taha and the ICSD Board

[LaunchGood @LaunchGood]

Your support in the last 24 hours for the three martyrs of the Islamic Center of San Diego tragedy has been unparalleled. Please continue to support the families of all three brothers who heroically gave their lives to save countless others. May Allah fill their graves with light and accept them as shaheed. 🤲

Amin Abdullah.

He stood his ground so others could make it home safely.

When gunmen opened fire outside the Islamic Center of San Diego, Amin protected the community until his final moments. Police say his actions prevented the attack from becoming far worse.

Support Amin’s family with funeral costs, immediate household needs, education for his children, and long term financial stability.

May Allah accept him amongst the martyrs and grant patience to his loved ones. 🤲
