Bringing people together inspires change. It builds confidence. It forges relationships. It creates memories.
This is what will allow brands to grow exponentially moving forward.
Are you a big content creator thinking about turning your audience into a community but unsure how to start?
All set to add a garage to that house, so you head to Home Depot, pumped up, thinking, ‘LET'S DO THIS’.
But then you realize, ‘I’ve never swung a hammer in my life. Am I sure MY first project should be MY garage?’
Maybe it’s time to call in a pro and make sure it’s done right from the start! River is thrilled to be partnering with @CommunityLnch
@getriver_io has powerful tooling to bring your audience together IRL (we've done meetups for The All-In Podcast, Tim Ferriss, and This Week in Startups). But, not all community owners are prepared for this kind of engagement.
That's where https://t.co/dVXpigvCvC comes in. They've been leading digital community for Capital Club and Bryan Johnson.
They know the River platform in and out. If you have a medium to large audience and you wanna experience the power of bringing IRL to your audience but don't wanna swing your own hammer, we gotchu.

Confidence is, and will always be, massively underrated.
Future Clients will be able to sense if you're nervous or if you're confident and will heavily consider this when deciding to work with you or not.
You have to be willing to look like an idiot while you figure it out.
Because once you figure it out, everyone else looks like an idiot for doubting you.
When trying to figure out how to start doing something, visualize your END GOAL and reverse-engineer.
We also find that most people tend to overcomplicate when beginning as well. Doing this can cause things to appear much more daunting and intimidating than they really are.
The "Do Something" principle:
Action -> Inspiration -> Motivation -> Action
For example: You want to do 30min on the bike but that seems daunting. Start with the goal of doing 5min, and you'll likely find yourself wanting to do more.
JUST. START.
Thomas Edison is famous for inventing the lightbulb, but he also has one of the best answers to being asked about his failures:
"I have not failed. I've just found 1,000 ways that won't work."
Fail your way to success.
Discord has an undeserving negative association attached to it.
Discord is much more capable than most understand. While it may not be for everyone, don't dismiss it until you've tried it thoroughly.
Slack is for boomers.
Why would any startup pay for Slack in 2024 when Discord is free, keeps your chat history, supports voice/video, AND powers community channels all in one place?
I've read the "How to Succeed in MrBeast Production" booklet several times, here's the most applicable takeaways from a small business owner💪

No promise = high churn.
If your community doesn't have a promise of where it's trying to take members, eventually your members will get sick of 'floating' and waiting for a sense of direction and will leave to find somewhere that WILL fill that void/need.
Have a promise.
