@Coach_Yac We have quite possibly the best left tackle to ever play the game. LA upgraded the pass rush for sure but lost a pass rusher to do it. I’m not naive to how great of a player Garrett is but Williams is the best left tackle in football, best on best, let’s go.
@Coach_Yac People forget the draft is just one part of the offseason … before night one of the draft even started the Niners had already had an incredible off season
@Coach_Yac Since 2020 there are ten teams who drafted QBs in the first round who are no longer starting and/or on their rosters (including the Niners). All of them wished they took Purdy in round 1 (sans the niners, dude was a steal).
By this dudes logic Brady wasn’t a round 1 pick either
@Coach_Yac Even if they were, at the time his ceiling was higher than a round 1 pick. Only hindsight could predict Aiyuk would go on to tank his own career.
Cohn is a clown, we all know this.
@Coach_Yac Are you ready to give up on Green? Sophomore slump sure but Lenoir, Green and Stout is a trio that can be special is Green builds off of what we saw his rookie year.
@Coach_Yac Nah, love Hendrickson as a player but we need to get younger and if Nick Bosa is healthy we can spend the money better elsewhere (and maybe we can get another Bosa for cheaper)
@Coach_Yac@DMRussini His value is just higher to us than the rest of the league. I wouldn’t take less than a 2nd bc you still have to replace him and with Mac there’s no question as to whether or not he can win within our system.
@Coach_Yac A second sounds great. Spending way too much energy on reworking his contract every year that we should be spending building out the rest of the roster.
@TheSFNiners First, Purdy is our guy, a proven winner vs Geno Smith or an unproven rookie.
Second, save Geno and give us a good player. Mac would be the starter in a scenario where Purdy was no longer on the team so what’s the point of a QB.
@Coach_Yac Not ignorant to the fact that the defense is inexperienced and hurting. But also, let us not forget the Ravens Christmas disaster. Bad games happen, onto the next.
