Today marked my last day as the NDSU College of Engineering Outreach Coordinator. During my time, Iโve welcomed thousands of students to campus and made so many amazing memories ๐
Today in @NDSUEngineering STEM Kids, our STEM GOATs learned about Rosalind Franklin and microscopy! The class went on a walk around campus to find specimens to look at under a microscope. Here are some of the things we found!
Today in @NDSUEngineering STEM Kids, our Grades 6-8 Emerging Technologies class is learning about how scientists use complex adaptive system modeling tools like Netlogo to understand the spread of COVID. Itโs pretty fun to hear middle schoolers use words like stochastic!
Apply for my job! I will miss it a ton, but Iโm excited to see it grow to a full-time position. This could be a great opportunity for someone with a background in engineering, teaching, communication, or a related STEM field.
We're looking for a full-time Outreach Coordinator. This exciting opportunity will give you the chance to develop and enhance interest in engineering, computer science, and associated STEM careers for students in grades K-12.

Iโm co-teaching STEM GOATs (Greatest Of All Time) for STEM Kids this summer, and Iโm looking for some inspiration. Who is your favorite STEM role model? We are focusing on identifying people in STEM from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds. Representation matters!
Eighth grade girls from each of Fargo Public Schools' middle schools were selected to attend Girls in Engineering Day at North Dakota State University. While at NDSU, the students participated in a STEM activity designing and creating a marble rollercoaster.
Today @NDSUEngineering hosted over 100 8th graders for Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day. The girls made paper roller coasters and heard from many of the amazing women in Engineering Ambassadors and SWE.
I got my last set of student data today for my dissertation, and this is basically live footage of me running my code to see if the results support my hypotheses
Hereโs to day 2 of the IEEE Frontiers in Education conference! I had so much fun presenting my work and hearing from so many amazing engineering and computing educators yesterday, and Iโm excited for what today brings! #FIE2021
