@KellyGToGo @pennykittle I love 180 Days! But serious question: If it took more than 4 hrs to "grade" 38 student notebooks (pg. 152), how are teachers w/ 4-5 times that # of students suppose to implement 180 Days effectively?
@tguskey To suggest an abandonment of grading during distance learning alludes to an inability for education to adapt. Grades are reduced to either/or. Just as teaching must differentiated, grading must be differentiated to ensure optimal learning.
@tguskey What of the study by Ellis Page who concluded grades (with comments) can have a beneficial effect on student learning when it comes to motivation or quality? chrome-extension://oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm/https://t.co/pxrEafsbdg
Today is a special day. It’s the day Lillian celebrates turning 6. She is a firecracker. She loves endlessly. She goes after the things she wants... even if no one else wants her to have… https://t.co/TbRtMiV7uh
@E_Sheninger Grade zero is a practice I have never agreed with and work hard to make sure that students have the opportunity to demonstrate his/her knowledge at some point in the semester when it finally “clicks”.
@E_Sheninger There’s “0” & then there is “Missing” which gives students an opportunity to complete work at their own pace at a later time (without penalty).
