We really need to stop trying to carry out every single meeting, task, and activity online. Some things just need to be let go. “Flattening the curve” also involves “lowering the bar” and prioritizing wellbeing above productivity.

When policymakers and ed leaders talk about “priority schools,” wish they’d acknowledge how hard those students, families, and educators are working to overcome a system that is designed for them to fail.
When folks say they want to arm teachers, what they’re saying is they accept that regular shootouts should be part of the routine for schoolchildren. We don’t have to accept that. I won’t accept that.
