Fragment of a Roman sheet gold leaf ornament, found in Ogbourne St Andrew this year.. (1/2)
One thing that struck me straight away with this is the quality of the cutting. Notice how the tesserae keep pretty much well within the size range. From the new excavation in London. 📷MOLA/Andy Chopping
It was party time yesterday at the museum 🌞🍔 Staff and volunteers got together for our end of season #BBQ; a chance to say a big Thank You for everyone's help and hard work over the last few months, since we reopened in May. You can still visit until Sunday 3rd October.
