@united another trip to the UK ruined by a “mechanical issue” and a 36-hour delay. Traveling with three kids for our one vacation of the year to see their grandparents. Exactly the same issue last year and you offered a derisory $100 in compensation.

Yesterday, my son (age 11) asked me the name of the beans that look like naked bottoms, as those are his favourite. It took me a minute but I realised he meant chickpeas 🤣 It’s these kind of conversations that make parenting 💯 worth it 😆

@MorganShamy I had once had feedback saying they didn’t really “understand sci-fi”. I write funny middle-grade mysteries set in the real world. I still think about that feedback and wonder if it meant my book was terrible or they had simply read the wrong book!

@StuartWhiteWM When I worked in publishing, sometimes authors would sketch one as a guide for the illustrator and then the pro would do their magic. Amazing how they can make it come alive. Double-check for typos. Errors can easily slip through on maps.
