Habibat Salawudeen Ilhovi Jack has completed a Guinness World Record attempt for the longest marathon reading of the Holy Bible.
The 144-hour reading ended on June 29. According to organizers, the attempt followed GWR guidelines, with only short breaks for basic needs.
The 6-day reading was supported by family, church members, and well-wishers.

This thing has happened to me twice, the most recent was last year. I was on my own o, this babe invited me for her “birthday dinner”. I didn’t know what to give her so i put one bundle of mint 50k in a white envelope. After the dinner the waiter handed me a bill, as i was struggling to understand what was happening, i looked across and saw the same look on the guy sitting opposite me lmao. He asked the celebrant and she said everyone is supposed to pay for their food and drinks. I just took out the money from the white envelope, counted 28k and gave the waiter and put the rest back in my pocket.

For years now, a woman usually comes to our house to fetch water whenever there's no light. We use generator to pump. She has 3 kids. She comes anytime of the day to fetch as much as she wants, no restrictions. I was driving by this morning, and I saw cassava peels in front of her house. She was sitting down outside, too.

I asked if they belonged to her, she said yes. It was just a sack worth. I told her to allow me pack the peels for my goats. I packed the peels into the sack and was about to put it at the back of the truck, then she said "aunty we never talk money o."

I was surprised, I asked how much, she said 1k. Wow!
So I asked her, "The water you come to fetch everyday nko, do i ask you for any favor or anything in return? We open the gate for you and your kids any day, any time to fetch water, but you want to collect money for this one sack of cassava peels." She was just smiling. So I told her, if you collect this money, we won't let you fetch water again. Because we bought fuel with money too. She just smiled. I gave her the 1k, and she collected it. She even told me to return her sack.

She probably think I'm joking about the water, but I've instructed them at home, no more fetching of water again. You don't have to be rich to give back to people who have been kind to you.

So I got my period at work today with absolutely no warning and went around asking all the women in the office if anyone had anything and nobody had a single thing.

One of the guys overheard me and said he had pads in his car because he keeps them there for his girlfriend for emergencies.

And then he went out to his car and came back and handed me a pastry bag.

This man had put the pads inside a pastry bag so nobody would know what was in it. To save me the awkwardness of walking through the office visibly carrying pads. He thought about that. On his own.

And it wasn't just one, he gave me two because I had an eight hour shift and he did that math himself apparently.

I was not prepared for......
