Self-care is a challenge. I’m trying something new: I checked out a poetry anthology on kindle unlimited. I had forgotten how lovely poetry is. I’m enjoying reading poems for pure enjoyment.

Hooray for the Opening Ceremonies! I’ve been learning French with Duolingo since March and hearing it spoken is really cool.

I did it! Today I finished my rebuild of Spanish 2311 using OER materials. I'm so proud. All 4 classes I teach: Spanish 1411, 1412, 2311 and 2312 are all zero-cost textbook classes. Hooray!

I'm wrapping up my redesign of my Spanish 2311 with OER materials. It's a lot of work but well worth the investment. This is going to be fantastic when I'm finished.

Hispanos Unidos (Spanish Club) volunteered tonight at the Center of Hope. We made a banner to congratulate graduates of their ESL class and we helped with translation. What a cool way to serve our community.

Our Hispanos Unidos (Spanish Club) service project is to help celebrate the graduation for a local ESL class. Today our officers put together gift bags. I'm so proud of these kids.

I went to a book store that had a shelf made from a grand piano. As a piano player, I asked about it. The store owner told me it came from her mom's piano. On principe I don't think we should take apart instruments. However, it's being repurposed in a beautiful way. Very cool

I've completed a few lessons of French in duolingo. My thoughts: it's more fun than the homework for my Spanish classes, the owl is cute and the pronunciation feature is fantastic.
On April 1 I want to begin class speaking French. We'll see...

@MmeCarbonneau If she can find the textbook used in the previous level classes she could use it to review on her own or with a tutor. She could ask her professor for suggestions on resources to review

I took my son on a driving lesson. He prefers to drive really slowly. So proud I kept my cool. Drivers behind us, not so patient with my nervous son.
