Let’s just ignore the fact that he completed the last quarter in 24.5 and has been steadily improving. His final firing was 12.05. A kick like that is good enough to win plenty more route races.
@awdrawsomething You mean like steadily improving figures? Or the fact he was actually closing fast in the LA Derby prior to the Derby? That similar pacers have actually been recently seen in some of the top 10f races the last couple years?
@awdrawsomething@BobbyAtTheSpa When you can’t make a point without using demeaning comments that’s just tells everyone that your intellect is sorely lacking.
@The_Knight_Sky I love the storylines of the Derby and several other races. But the BS has almost completely disillusioned me from the whole sport. Every sport has its problems, but racing has the most and refuses to do anything about it thanks greed. It’s maddening for me.
Wish horses that cause this type of thing would be DQ’ed and jockeys would be reprimanded for doing what they can to correct it. The fact there hasn’t been an accident is pure luck.
@brooklyncowboy1 Watch So Happy start the whole chain reaction with Mike Smith going too hard for his position. How come it never looks like a smash up derby at the start of European 20 horse 🐎 fields. Because it’s allowed here.
@awdrawsomething@BobbyAtTheSpa Chief was also impeded by that move, and he actually managed to re-rally after it, which is more than enough to say he would’ve finished better had he not been interfered with.
@ByPatForde Another reason that DQ’s should be a thing. Ocelli stated that mess and Chief still came back to only finish a left behind him. That’s should’ve been enough to take Ocelli down behind Chief.
@goofonroof@nickseevers Litmus test did break and lean in, but Garcia started to correct it when he was hit by the domino effect Smith caused. People just want to blame a Baffert
@The_Knight_Sky They are celebrated. What should’ve be celebrated is where their horse breaks and then takes out 6-7 others and no effort was made to correct it. That’s dangerous.
@goofonroof For Ocelli interfering in the stretch it would’ve. For the issues at the start, that is why in also say riders get slapped with a reprimand and honestly, I’d make it 30 days if there’s no sign the rider attempted to correct. These riders know better.
@JohnnyBets_KY Don’t really think it’s that much of a puzzle. Runhappy was popular, so his son is going to get name recognition bets. Then you have his trainer’s very relatable storyline, which draws sentimental money, on top of the fact he has the second fastest BSF in the field.
@brooklyncowboy1 That was ugly, amazing Cowboy, We preach safety first when it comes to our mighty Thoroughbred , but when the Derby comes around, jamming 20 horses in the race is supposed to be OK, I guess safety only matters 364 days out of the year.
@brooklyncowboy1 The people saying he didn’t get it that bad are blind. He literally got turned sideways at least twice in the first 1/16th thanks to all that bumping.
@mikewilkening If Crude Velocity goes, that will be difficult if he can stretch his speed. Would love to see it with a Renegade/Tempo rematch in the Belmont
@A_S_Al_Mughairi@ljlmvel Until owners and trainers stop entering the Derby. CD only cares about money. Stop giving it to them and they’ll wind up changing, but that’s not about to happen
