Currently at my final placement school and the other day, I got my students to work with ICT in maths. They worked with QR codes to play games in relation to data learning! Integrating ICT in my planning keeps these students engaged in their learning! #acuedu_p

Learning place value and comparing number value, through the activity “bin game”. Ss roll dice and create number, highest wins. A great game for ss to communicate their reasoning for placing a number eg: “I rolled a 1,I will place that in the bin as it’s a low number”. #acuedu_p

On casual at at k-12 school is interesting when you are primary trained. Teaching high school was daunting at first but not as scary after taking a few classes. I am enjoying the challenge in altering my teaching suited for the older year groups! #acuedu_p

I have a year one class for 3 weeks and they use this pack up song. I thought it was really effective for the class to work together and clean/pack up the room before the timer runs out. They get a class reward if they do. I will be using this in my future teaching!! #acuedu_p

Working as a casual today, and had assembly with my class. I introduced them to “secret detective” where I wink at one person and they get to choose 1 boy and 1 girl to get 2 dojo points for showing respect during assembly. The students loved it and were behaved. #acuedu_p
