Yes the social & environmental impact is the biggest driver, but I've also had lots of bad repairs experiences.

I'd likely ask why, and tell them to just keep creating.

I've seen a few friends recently talk about 'switching' to Web Design because they think it sounds easy enough, and it permits location independency.
