This shows the importance of opposition! We now need this Assembly majority to translate into tangible action for Lough Neagh as well as the other many inland waterways across the North that are already so badly damaged & in dire need of help.
👏 @SDLPlive 4 sticking with this!
Just 3 months ago SF & DUP voted down a major part of the plan to save Lough Neagh. Despite good intentions, Alliance was unable to get its Executive colleagues to support it.
Today @SDLPlive built an assembly majority for this key part of saving Lough Neagh. Opposition matters!
For the first time, devolved parties across these islands have united behind a clear call to act on Gaza, led by the SDLP.
Every day of silence from the UK Government costs lives.
Delighted to launch the @CancerFocusNI and NI Cancer Registry report into #MetastaticBreastCancer today. We are among the first in the world to do this. Now we need the Minister to provide the essential services and health interventions!

At @UlsterUni last week, @MatthewOToole2 spoke about the crisis of accountability in NI politics.
You don't have time to track everything happening at Stormont. But you should be able to trust those in power to deliver.
We're committed to making sure words turn into action.
Joanne Stuart of @NIrelandTA articulating so well the issues around the ETA on #sundaypolitics.
Such an ill thought out plan that will totally damage our tourism industry /economy. An exemption is essential if we are serious about tourism.

Winter Travel Warning
Police are advising motorists to avoid travel on the Moyad Road and Kilkeel Road at Spelga Dam.
This is due to hazardous conditions of ice and snow on the road causing vehicles to get stuck.
Please seek an alternative route staying to main gritted roads.

Hello everyone.
It’s Nicole here (Sean’s wife)
I wanted to let you all know that unfortunately Sean passed away yesterday, suddenly and unexpectedly.
Sean was a fierce advocate for disability rights, it was his passion and his calling. He never stopped fighting for the rights of disabled people. He faced many battles in his life, and took them all on with strength and resilience I have never seen before. As many of you know and may have worked with Sean, he was intelligent, funny, warm…I could go on.
Sean was also a loving and devoted husband, father, son and brother. He loved and was loved by many. As you can imagine, we are all utterly heartbroken.
Keep fighting the good fight in Sean’s memory - it’s what he would have wanted.
Nicole
