Stepping back into BCU today but standing on the other side. I was able to share my knowledge on safe infant feeding in a new teaching session for the child nursing students, as well as giving them some exam tips! @BCU_CYPnursing#safeinfantfeeding#backtouni#neonatalnurse
I’m very pleased to say that my nursing degree is complete. I am on the the NMC register and am starting work next Monday as a neonatal staff nurse, let the hard work begin. @BCU_CYPnursing#nextstep#rn
Hard days happen. I’m grateful to my fab friends for holding me up and the support and encouragement of the education team @Bham_Childrens this week. Pulled it together to deliver our group presentation on fitness to practice #studentnurse
@Thornton_health What an incredibly disrespectful and disappointing statement. Segregation of the IDT in to leaders and workers is archaic and dangerous. Is this how a CEO of @NHSConfed supports us all?
Had the opportunity to deliver information on safe infant feeding to lecturers & practice partners during the BCU quality showcase. Sharing this vital information is so important & I’m hoping my presentation makes its way into teaching soon @BCU_CYPnursing
I just found this amazing creative human in TikTok. I’m sure we all have a friend, relative, or patient that would love these thoughtful dignity mugs! Such a beautiful idea! Drink from a real mug designed to consider additional needs 😍

Happy nurses day to my incredible 09/20 peers, lecturers, practice assessors & supervisors. Thank you for getting me this far! @BCU_CYPnursing#studentnurse#3rdyear
First shift of final placement on NICU was intense. With the lack of sleep that comes before a 1st shift &the bike commute I think today will be a quiet day of reflection. I met awesome people &learnt a lot Onwards with the first day done 💪 #studentnurse#3rdyear@BCU_CYPnursing
Great arvo as an infant feeding peer supporter it’s a privilege to listen to stories of pregnancy, birth &babies &offer support to parents on their feeding journey. It can be hard with lots to learn, overcome & adjust to. @new_cic offer vital safe space for parents to reach out.
Treated myself to a new coffee cup at the end of this 8 weeks uni block. Made it to every lecture which is a minor miracle. 2 modules down, just need to do the presentation and submit the assignment in the next week! @BCU_CYPnursing@CostaCoffee#studentnurse
Been lucky enough to have a tour of the NICU at Birmingham Women’s Hospital this afternoon as I continue the process of applying for my first job when I qualify. A lovely unit and warm vibes from all the team I met. @nicuBWC @BCU_CYPnursing#studentnurse#neonatal#3rdyear
Representing @new_cic yesterday at @barnardos train the trainer session to allow us to offer #healtheducation to local communities about RSV and Strep A infections. Focused on when to care for children at home, when to seek health care support and spotting deterioration
