Dad: husbands, love your wives
Love. Do we understand it?
Example: My son loves char siu (roasted pork) and loves his mom.
You shouldn't love mom like you love char siu.
The word for love here means self sacrificial love

Whatever the Lord’s will for each of us in 2024 who follow Jesus, it will exceed our natural strengths, skills, talents, levels of experience, areas of expertise, intellectual acumen and worldly wisdom. The beautiful way Jesus set this faith thing up is that we can’t serve Jesus without Jesus. I pray this for all of us in 2024: more of Jesus.
If you haven't read Dr. Lisa Bowens' AFRICAN-AMERICAN READINGS OF PAUL, it is phenomenal

The gospel of Matthew mentions a "star" or "light/flame/fire" in the sky near the time of Jesus' birth. The magi who followed it said nothing of Caesar.
But to Matthew's audience, who handled Roman coinage everyday, the "star" surely had multiple, rich meanings.
Did you know you can now find New Testament sources in our database of works by ethnic minority & Majority World scholars?

Mary is the new Eve, and in her trust, offers a new way of being.
Eve says, let me have it.
Mary says, let it be.
Eve came from Adam,
But the new Adam, came from the new Eve.
