Bill Maher NUKES France for becoming a welfare state that has now put them in a DEBT SPIRAL with high inflation, high unemployment, and little to no ECONOMIC growth.
“The New York Times wrote it. I thought, well, all goes back to a very simple but very difficult reality for France, which is that this country can no longer afford its social welfare state. Very generous. 120% of the economy is debt now. Interest payment. We're facing the same thing. Whereas the interest payment on the debt is going to be very soon in this country, apparently already in France, the largest part of what we spend.”
“Yes, they do have a very generous welfare state. I remember Michael Moore doing that great movie about how great things are in socialism, and some of it is great, but, you know, the punchline of the whole movie was the people from France, from the government, doing your laundry. Remember that? Well, maybe a little too much doing your laundry, and this is what happens.”
“Now it's a vicious cycle because the people don't want to give up their perks, so now you have to borrow more money.”
Sara Eisen: “You have to borrow money to service the debt. That's what they call a debt spiral…”
The 29 recipients of the Lewiston mass shooting included hospitals, youth programs, mental-health groups, and several organizations focused on immigrant/refugee communities (“New Mainers”), such as IFKA Community Services, New Mainers Public Health Initiative, Somali Bantu Community Association, Gateway Community Services Maine, and Empowered Immigrant Women Unite. A steering committee that included people affiliated with some recipient organizations helped select the grantees. Victims’ families and advocates have publicly stated they were told early on that 100% of donations would go to direct victims and survivors. Some have demanded the nonprofit money be returned or redirected. One organization (The Root Cellar) returned its share. The Maine Attorney General later stated that the state’s watchdog lacks legal authority to investigate the private foundation’s handling of the funds. MaineCF has defended the split as supporting broader community trauma recovery.
Who is in charge clearly defines the truthful narrative..the families who lost their loved ones or those who are recovering from this tragic incident are clearly the victims. No refugees were shot and killed, no families of asylum seekers were shot and kill or even injured. Fraud happened, who is going to hold them accountable?
