Refusing to gossip is a beautiful decision to make.
It not only creates richer friendships but, more importantly, it makes our relationship with the Lord more authentic and believable.
We honor God when we honor each other.
Hindsight is a gift. It’s opens a window of clarity not accessible in real time. Shows u that no part of ur journey was wasted. Then it invites u to trust that today’s mess is tomorrow’s message & masterpiece. It tells u that He meant what He said-All things work together 4 good.
Lord,
I worry because I forget your wisdom.
I resent because I forget your mercy.
I covet because I forget your beauty.
I sin because I forget your holiness.
I fear because I forget your sovereignty.
You always remember me. Help me to remember you.
Amen...
Christmas tells us two things: God loves us enough to do whatever is necessary for us to experience abundant life, and, with God, ALL things are possible!
At the Cross,
Decay is transformed into glory.
Death is swallowed up by life.
Evil is transfigured into holiness.
Darkness is changed to light.
Hell is defeated by heaven.
Your life is not a series of random events. Your family background, education, and life experiences—even the most painful ones—all equip you to do some work that no one else can do (Eph 2.10).
At the cross, the line isn’t front-to-back, it’s shoulder-to-shoulder. No matter how good you’ve been, no one is behind you. Regardless the mess you’ve made, there’s no one in front of you. The ground is level and the line is one deep.
Today, in the midst of all your love for friends and family, your desire for peace and harmony and your concern to be accepted and respected, keep reminding yourself that you have no friend like your friend, Jesus, and rest in his love.
The church has been very effective in response to Hurricane Florence. The reason isn’t our preparedness- but His faithfulness. God delights to reveal His Heart through His Church.
