Also, regardless of the outcome, I know these will always be my truths: I do not give a damn about the whole state of alabama, and I wouldn’t give a nickel for bammer’s band.
Life becomes too short when we fail to give back to the environment. Living a great life requires us to be compassionate. ~ Chelsea Handler

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world. The unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man. ~ Richard Koch
This whimsical adjective meaning “utopian” is derived from a nonsense noun that is an anagram of “nowhere.”
Can you guess and spell these 10 wacky words from the Scripps National Spelling Bee? https://t.co/0s5iAndtyR
New: Pro-Trump “Stop the Steal” organizer Ali Alexander has apologized after being accused of asking teenagers for dick pics.
In one message, Alexander allegedly complained that a 15-year-old wasn’t sending him “Jack off material.” https://t.co/pL9GMRgXCe
We will not stop. We will not give up! We will continue working to build a nation that includes, not excludes, or unjustly expels. People power will always prevail! Join US at https://t.co/QrokFaMeHA the link is in our bio! #TennesseeThree
Another thing you could do, ALL OVER TN— including in rural areas!
This concerns county election commissions, but please don’t let your eyes glaze over! 🤓 It’s really important!
Every county has 5 election commissioners. 2 Dems & 3 GOP, because the Governor is GOP.

We support the #TennesseeThree who are facing expulsion from the state legislature for protesting against gun violence.
This is an attack on democracy.
Reps. Gloria Johnson, Justin Pearson, and Justin Jones, thank you for standing with your constituents.
I’ve never made a political social media post in my life, and I’m 100% comfortable posting this. It’s not political. I’m posting it because my wife is a teacher. And because we have 2 school-aged kids. And because I’m proud to work with @CoachBrentKey and call him a friend.
Many protestors are gone — but this young man, whose father was a pastor at COVENANT, remains.
He wants Tennessee legislators to act on common sense gun laws.
Do you know what every person filled with hate and/or mental illness, who is thinking about doing a mass shooting is thinking when they hear republicans saying “We MUST have an armed security officer at every school!”?
They are thinking “If that happens, I guess I’ll know who I will have to shoot first.”
Initially, the shooter always has something that no one else in that school-including a security guard-will have: the element of surprise.
An armed security officer would only be effective to the extent that doors and windows were able to withstand multiple high velocity rounds, preventing entry for at least 3-5 minutes after the shooter had started trying to get through, and adequate security camera usage had immediately alerted staff and the security officer that there was a shooting being staged, and what location they were attempting to enter from.
ONLY then, would a security officer have the time and ability eliminate the element of surprise for the shooter, and take a position with cover, near that entry point.
In doing so, the tables are turned, and the armed officer has now gained the element of surprise, allowing them to take the kill shot as soon as the shooter steps through.
These are the things no one is talking about.
An armed security guard who has lost the element of surprise, is like the armed lion “tamer” who is peeling an orange, with his back to the massive cat, when the lion suddenly bursts forth in one explosive lunge, just a nanosecond before the lion “tamer” has had most of their seven cervical vertebrae crushed between the powerful jaws of the lion.
For the lion “tamer” the gun had become nothing but a useless prop in that situation.
The GOP is ONLY interested in 15-30 second talking points they can use to trick their voters into thinking they care, and have a solution.
Start asking questions about how the “armed security officer” plan would be implemented, in a way that would actually work….and their “solution” will crumble faster than the hand of a mummy caught in a firm grip.
The “what” has to have a workable “how.” Otherwise, the “what”is as useless as a shoelace for a flip flop. Right now….I see nothing but shoelaces on offer by the GOP.
TN came in LAST in voter turnout in Nov 2022.
We got horrid new Members of Congress, a cowardly 2nd term Gov, & miserable SOBs in the legislature.
And the rural counties out-performed Nashville & Memphis.
We’ve gotta start voting.
If we don’t do better, we won’t get better.
Yesterday at the capitol I asked this Tennessee Republican supermajority what they would do to combat gun violence and protect our kids. Their silence was loud.
Please watch and share.
