@jfrickuga @jesqa_ It's notable, though, that professors are VERY often the product of people with graduate degrees (often professors!). I wouldn't be surprised if a plurality of profs were this way. I don't think it's appropriate to describe "my parents had BAs" as first gen, though!
Do coevolving parasites always favor sexual reproduction in their hosts?

I never get to talk about this! One of my favorite pieces of work in the last few years was an extension of the inclusion-exclusion principle that @LauraWAlexander and I developed for estimating parasite diversity across multiple host groups https://t.co/o7f0ZsNDXi
@TheHyyyype My 6000$ hard contacts provide too much resolution. I don't need to see pores. I don't need to drive at night. I don't need to read signs. I can't handle the world with that many pixels. Soft haze all day.
Herschel Walker, you said you were valedictorian of your class. You weren’t. You said your company had 800 employees. It had eight. You claimed to own a company that didn’t exist. You said you were in law enforcement — despite your badge — you weren’t.
@michaelwhitney@BrandyLJensen I'd argue that it takes a lot of time and effort, BUT, you can reasonably freeze it, enjoy it repeatedly, etc. I think the worst is CROISSANTS, which utterly unhinged people make and then???? Enjoy one and struggle through the next dozen????????
@MelForRI @caviartheory @NPR Plan B prevents pregnancy by delaying or preventing ovulation. It does not cause abortion. Medical abortion is achieved with different medications. https://t.co/0I7mhqsoTO
@BeesAndBaking I think @EricMHolt, @ngspano, or @BeakyThings tried to tell me that a few years ago and I initially thought they were pulling my leg. And apparently the common ancestor of dinosaurs and pterosaurs may have been warm-blooded? Wild times!
I can't speak highly enough of @MonicaAlbe, graduate student services advisor of @berkeleyIB. She's amazing and I don't know where I would be without her support!
@penelopegatlin @ShawnteJamesMD To be fair, "know better, do better" only works for people that have resources to, for instance, take off work. There are many parents that wish they could do more for and spend more time with their infants, and our system makes it impossible for them =(
