A truly sensational run from @lauramuiruns as she sets a European two mile record in New York 🔥

The Brit clocks 9:04.84 and although she finished behind world U20 5000m champion Medina Eisa, the Ethiopian was disqualified 🇬🇧

After her 9:04.84, @lauramuiruns is now second on the world indoor two mile all-time list 🌍

@lauramuiruns also went through 3000m in 8:31.44 💥

A day that has come far sooner than anticipated, but I must sadly announce my retirement as a professional athlete.

I’ve had a very challenging few years dealing with a number of injuries, surgery and extensive rehab.
